The Yamaki Pine is a tree of a lore. Now more than 400 years old, this white pine bonsai grew in Japan’s ancient cedar forests, was nurtured among chants and prayers in Buddhist temples, and eventually was transferred to the home of the Yamaki family in Hiroshima, where it survived the atomic blast. “The Atomic Tree” is an example of how vast the memor.
